Seasonal Ski Rental for Peak Nordic Team Members

  •  High School and Middle School skiers learn both skating & classic techniques. Skate skis are shorter & stiffer flexing than classic skis. Skate poles are longer (up to your lips in height) and classic poles are shoulder height.  We rent “combi” boots because they can be used for both techniques, and to save families money.

  • Packages include 2 pairs of skis, 2 pairs of poles, and 1 pair of “combi” boots. The pricing is based on the skier’s weight and boot size.

  • Junior equipment may fit Middle School Skiers but only if those kids are under 110 lbs. and size 42 or smaller boots. Adult sized equipment costs more.

  • Skis and poles are measured in centimeters. Ski boots are European sizes and not gender specific, running from size 36 to 48. Size conversion charts are available in our shop. Kids will need to try on boots with warm socks that are mid-calf height.

  • To provide good fitting equipment we need to know your young skiers weight “dressed to ski”. Please have them wear some sort of boots when you weigh them.

  • Please fill out a rental form with your adolescent skier’s height, weight, and both classic & skate pole measurements then give it to one of our staff. Ski boots will need to be tried on. To ensure their comfort & performance it’s important to try them on before the 1st practice.

  • We can’t start renting equipment until after the Ski Swap is over and we’ve had time to organize the rental equipment, around mid-November.

  • Please ski only on groomed trails, never across parking lots or driveways because it wrecks the bases. You will be charged for damaged equipment.

  • Rentals are due back by February 28th.
